(More customer reviews)This is a really fantastic ring. Even though you can't quite tell from the picture whether the design is deeply engraved or lightly etched, it's definitely engraved. The ring is almost as light as aluminum, but titanium is a very strong metal. The problem with it being so strong, though, is that it is extremely difficult to resize. On a positive note, the ring is fairly true to size, though it does run a tiny bit big. Given the chance, I would've ordered a half size smaller. On the inside of the ring, the metal is curved outward slightly. This makes getting the ring on and off much easier as compared to ones where the metal is completely flat. As for the color, it looks slightly more like steel than shiny silver in the stock picture. A very good purchase indeed.

Just needed to work off some of the rough edges I guess. Regardless, the quaility of the ring is first rate. I bought this ring, rather than a cheaper one, because it had beveled edges. I had a cheaper ring without beveled edges and anytime I accidently ran the ring over something, like a wooden banister, it would scratch it. It also bothered my adjoining fingers if I was gripping anything. Neither of these problems occur with this ring.

On its own, tungsten is a very hard and dense metal, with the highest melting point of all metals - 6,100 degrees Fahrenheit. (More customer reviews)My girlfriend and I got a matching pair of these when we started dating a year and a half ago. They've held up beautifully despite their daily beatings over the last 500+ days. Definitely Solid. And I / we LOVE the wave design - it's clean, pretty, and I really like the subtle clever use of negative space for the opposing waves. Like the ying and the yang.
My only complaint is the welding on the outer spinning band. You can't see it in the picture, but where the outer-band is welded together, there's about 3mm of welding material, covering an entire wave, and it looks a mess. Fortunately, it's smooth and doesn't really bother me that much. I'm spinning it around most of the time anyway. And it's not like this is a Tiffany's ring -- for the price, it's really hard to complain.

(More customer reviews)I bought this ring for my husband and another smaller identical ring for myself. It arrived within 5 working days. Overall the ring has a nice weight and is very comfortable to wear. I haven't subjected it to wear and tear as yet (will update as time goes along). As one should know tungsten carbide is one of the strongest material around, but just remember that the inlay abalone isn't.
NOTE: The abalone band around the ring isn't as 'seamless' as the picture shows, but rather is made out of 1/3 inch pieces placed together around the ring. The separation is visually apparent, and the abalone isn't as green and shiny as it is on the photo. Which is why I didn't rate this a 5 star. The metal has a dark hue to it, which I do like.
Overall the husband is thrilled about it, and that's more important to me.
Sept 18: two months down the line and the ring still looks as new as the day it arrived. No scratches nor dings on it. Our original wedding bands had all sorts of marks on it after a week (they were yellow/white gold) so we know how "un-dainty" we can be with jewelry. Both this and my husband's ring are still scratch-mark free and still have a good shine to it. Thank you West Coast Jewelry.
