(More customer reviews)I received this ring very quickly, in a pretty pink box (laughed because I thought this was supposedly a men's band).
The ring fits perfectly on my middle finger (and 3 other fingers, such fun to play with!) and is very shiny. The tungsten part is darker than pictured, such is the natural color of the metal. The darker grey parts and carbon fiber parts are under what appears to be resin. I haven't subjected the ring to that much torment yet but am going to assume the middle part of the band will scratch relatively easily, especially compared to tungsten.
This was just what I pictured, and the exact design I wanted - the comfort fit/rounded sides, carbon fibers (because they look so cool!), and even the heavy feel of the ring is very nice. If I switch hands it'll take a bit for both hands to adjust to the weight difference. But I prefer my left hand as my non-wedding ring with platinun-nickel alloy and Alexandrite stone or my class ring should really not be worn on my left hand (not that I don't anyway). The ring even matches my watch in colors. lol And I used it as the ring in LOTR Monopoly.. just to see how long it'd take my friends to notice it there.
Now here's where I took off a star. About 2 days ago, maybe 3 weeks after receiving the ring and wearing it every day I noticed bumps appearing on my finger just where the ring. Now they've swelled up into a cluster of gross puffy blob. Isn't this supposed to be Tungsten carbide? As in, not supposed to give me painful blisters?? My platinun-nickel ring doesn't bother me! I'll wait to see how my finger fares.. I'll be sad if I can't wear my ring any longer.
ETA: Asked a doctor about it and it appeared to him that the bumps were solely from rubbing. Maybe I will try to not play with it so much any more. Finger's starting to get better already.
