Once it is scratched it doesn't polish or buff out like other rings. That might just be the type of metal though, I'm not sure. Overall though, it's nice and my husband states it's pretty comfortable. I really liked the packaging. It comes in a neat little pouch. We put it in our scrapbook as a keepsake.
