It's very shiny, thick, with a great comfort fit (which is hard to find in stainless steel) and much lighter weight than it appears. I can't even tell I'm wearing it, except when I rub on it with another finger, and it's a very nice substantial feeling band. Stainless steel is exceptionally durable and not likely to mar or scratch like white gold does. This matches my 14K white gold diamond solitaire engagement ring PERFECTLY. They look perfect side-by-side, and there's no difference in the appearance of the two metals. It's comfortable, and substantial without being overwhelming, and a perfect choice for a durable, beautiful, economical, perfect alternative to white gold. My grandfather was a jeweler, and I grew up learning all about all kinds of jewelry, and I can tell you I now prefer this ring over the white gold alternatives! If something ever happens to it, I won't hesitate a moment to order another one just like it - you sure can't beat the price or the quality!
