The entire surface is smooth, you can't feel a ridge where the inlay and silver are. The only problem is you can not get this ring re-sized (due to it being Tungsten) so order the size you need. Runs close to or a tiny bit bigger then normal size. If this size is sometimes tight on you, then this ring should fit perfectly. Extremely happy with this purchase and loved the fact it came in a nice jewelry box as well. Received it quickly too. Definitely worth the price.
